Prepare or review construction contracts; analyze allocation of responsibilities and risks among owner, design team, and contractors; prepare and review change orders; assist award of fixed or negotiated bids; review responsiveness of bids.
Construction Team:Negotiate, prepare, or review contracts among members of construction team, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and others; analyze allocation of risks and responsibilities among construction team members.
Professional Standards:Review liability insurance for construction team; review payment and performance bonds; obtain public works licenses; provide representation in administrative and judicial proceedings regarding licenses or claims for defective construction; counsel regarding satisfaction of bid qualification requirements.
Contract Disputes:Negotiate and review change orders; negotiate and resolve performance bond claims; provide representation in mediation, arbitration and judicial proceedings; represent claims for defective design or construction; resolve claims for late delivery or defective products; mitigate consequences of bankruptcy or construction team members.
Payment Disputes:Negotiate and resolve contract claims, material liens, mechanics liens and payment bond claims; mitigate consequences of bankruptcy of construction team members on payment of other members.
